This is why it's important to vote for Pro-2A senators and congressman. As it stands, any gun control legislation will never pass the house, but that could change in 2 years depending on how things go.

Dont forget about voting for pro gun city and county politicians too.

Battles and wars have been lost because the opponents were underestimated.

Objectively speaking, both sides have good arguments, thus the division culturally. I think we will lose a battle here or there but we must pass the torch to the next generation with good reasoned arguments.

We need to be open to a change in tactics and new arguments or we wont have a seat at the table.

What are you talking about? The data clearly shows that more guns means less crime, that concealed carry means less crime, that open carry has no effect on crime or means less crime, and that the assault weapon ban and the 10 round mag cap restriction had ZERO effect on preventing crime or shootings.
We don't need any "new arguments"...just the truth. We just need to make more people realize the truth and help them get trained so they are free, not slaves. AS more people realize that the second amendment is about freedom and being free, we will stay on top.

i hope these liberal media elites keep talking gun control and get POTUS to admit his views too, BEFORE the election....so they get a good drubbing in november.

But after the Colorado shooting, Democrats and Republicans cast doubt on whether tougher laws could have averted the killing, diminishing the political stomach for any immediate changes in gun laws. Gov. John W. Hickenlooper of Colorado, a Democrat, told CNN’s “State of the Union” that the killer might have built a bomb or found some other lethal device if no assault weapons had been around. And Senator Ron Johnson, Republican of Wisconsin, defended people’s rights to own large-quantity ammunition magazines.

“The fact of the matter is, there are magazines, 30-round magazines, that are just common all over the place, and you simply can’t keep these weapons out of the hands of sick, demented individuals that want to do harm,” Mr. Johnson said on “Fox News Sunday.” “And when you try and do it, you restrict our freedoms.”

To gun groups, such an unfettered marketplace stands as a bulwark of their Second Amendment rights.

Dudley Brown, executive director of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, said there was no need to track sales of ammunition or require ammunition dealers to follow the same strictures as gun dealerships. He said law-abiding sportsmen and target shooters often bought ammunition in bulk to save money, and may keep rounds on their shelves for years. He said they can easily blow through 400 or 500 rounds in one vigorous day at a shooting range.

“I call 6,000 rounds of ammunition running low,” he said.

im talking about staying diligent. Keep stats up to date, keep passing laws. Making what is true for us, be true for them.

Believe this if nothing else. If mass killing keeps occuring with regularity, somethings going to change. And it probably wont be beneficial to 2A supporters.

BTW, most know where the Prez stands on the 2A, look at Romneys record. Obama will eat him alive on 2A support. And Obama in no freind of the 2A.

Nothing will change because of the actions of a few crazies, if we keep people informed of the truth and as more people discover the freedom from fear that responsible gun ownership and training can provide.
and we don't need any "new laws" that are pro-gun, we already have 2A. we need laws removed.

Not sure what you are talking about when you say Romney is anti-gun and worse than Obama, he can't possibly be worse than current POTUS if he is re-elected for a second term. And nothing you say will convince any pro 2A person otherwise. Obama will stack supreme court for the next couple of generations. At least with Romney we will get some conservative/swing justices.
