When I was first diagnosed with T2D. my A1C was over 12. Last A1C was 5.0. No longer diabetic. Reversed. Still stage 2 CKD though. Let's see...buy meat or get my toes/foot amputated down the road, maybe dialysis. Tough choice for me. Thankfully for me, low to very low carbs & no sugar, no grains or pasta, and intermittent fasting did wonders. I don't even eat vegetables anymore. Mostly red meat, some pork and chicken, bacon, eggs and some dairy. Cheese, butter and also some heavy cream in my coffee. I'm 68 with T2D in my family. I beat my T2D though. I believe a "balanced diet" is a myth. Especially if the info comes from the American Heart Assoc. or the American Diabetes Assoc. Both are complete BS. Good luck with the cinnamon.
