I mean, there's the option to buy a second complete priming system and just switch it out whole sale. That's the only real upgrade I've ever heard of. Although truth be told I've never swapped mine out since I don't do much of anything with LPs on that unit.

I heard there was some kind of upgrade you can do to a 650 to make the priming system more similar to that of a 750? Anybody have a link or know about this?
I have not heard of any conversion that is available. I use my old 650 just for 9mm as that is most of what I shoot, and the stock primer system works flawlessly like it is. Are you trying to just change the primer system entirely or just change from small primers to large primers

I'm not sure to be honest, I just heard there was some type of upgrade but nothing more. Supposedly it made it act more like the 750 system where it would only feed a primer if there was a case in the station at that time whereas the 650 will feed a primer regardless and can potentially cause jams if there is not a case there.

As I understand it you can just put the 750 primer feed on the 650 since they are the same press. Most people thought the 750 priming was a downgrade from what I remember reading when they came out. I don’t know that I would want to change as I’ve never had an issue with mine. Not feeding a primer unless there is a case would be nice but it’s not enough for me to change it.

I've never had any kind of problem with my XL650 that made me think I needed to change anything. When I bought the press it was set up for .45 ACP so it came with the large primer system installed. I also bought a complete small primer system so that if I change over I just swap out the whole priming setup and just change the ram in the press. Worked out pretty well.
