I was getting 6"+ groups from boat tails in my 30-06 at 300 yards
Tight at 100 under 1"
The flat base bullets stayed tight at 300.. under 3" actually 3 shots at 2.25" at 300 yards.
The crown had nicks and I took a small glass marble and fine lapping compound with that marble and put a small chamfer on the muzzle..
The boat tails tightened up to 3.5" at 300 yards.
Need more testing of the flat base.. as they opened up ..but a different lot number of powder was used on the flat base.
