Well for one, I didnt like my grandpa Henry. No one liked him. He was mean. My dad didnt like him. If you ever wanted to piss off dad, Call him John Henry.
As a kid when we would visit, I was scared of him. All of the grandkids were scared of John Henry. Now if it had been my grandma Henrys gun, that would be different. She was very sweet and kind to us. And she made awesome scratch biscuits lol.
Second, I have no one to leave it too later and I'm getting rid of some guns.
There was no sentimental value in it for me, I just remember going to their house in Wanette and seeing it always leaving up in the corner next to the front door.

Thanks for the context.
I understand.

That's because he was likely tired from swinging that sledge hammer all day driving steel!

No, he was lazy according to my dad and all his brothers. He made and sold Shine, **** hunted and kept his family very poor. All the kids (11) got 1 pair of shoes in the fall, by spring they were worn out so they ran Pott. Co bare foot.

Got the rest of it apart. Can’t find my naval jelly to strip the blue, so I’ll put the small parts in the Sonic cleaner until the jelly gets here next week. I’ll start on the stock too. The stock is in really good shape. No cracks or gouges. It should really turn out nice.

Give us a day or two and I am sure we can gather enough naval lint to sand it down with. :P
