I have limited supply and support (in terms of interest from my family) in the "SHTF" thought process. And it is very difficult to acumulate items without the support of a spouse. However, It amazed me the interest I got shortly after the ice storms of late or when the power goes out during a storm. I point to the needs during those situations as reminders of what we needed as a family. Ammo and firearms are all welcome and needed for extreme situations. However, formula, dipers, water, batteries, etc, ( while not exciting) are just as important. I start with the needs for a few days and move up as possible. Also, the art of living small is the real key. You can stock pile allot, but in long term..... May God forbid.... you have limits. Learn to live on and with less. Knowledge is power and the ability to know your area, your neigbors, how to start a fire (silly but some may not know) etc. This would give you the power to adapt.
