Dennishoddy "bought the second year of the Honda Goldwing street cruiser. Rode that for 60,000 miles before selling it after laying it down three times in one year to prevent an accident. Lots of my flesh left on some asphalt." Aw man. Been heavy street/highway riding 58 years, several hundred thousands of miles, only been down one time, rode my Cushman to HS one morning and had ice on the Admiral and Mingo traffic circle. Yep learned to slow down my first time on slick ice at 14yo. picked me and it up after we had slid off into the ditch and got on my way to school, never done that again. Had several street riders consitant after that, including some real hotrods, front tire up at 100mph, etc except for a 7mo period of time when I purchased an airplane in 1976 Thought it would replace street/highway riding, Wrong. Then here I am thinking about trying again thinking I need to back off the handlebars. Accidentally bought my first jeep through a member here. I can open it up and cruise down the road. Dogs and groceries in the back and still get some air, take off sideways in the ditches or elsewhere if I would like. SMFie, must be getting old. Or wiser. haha Most likely will have a pristine 98 Goldwing Aspencade with 20K miles with a trailer for sale in the spring.
