Yes, your PSA can rise even after a prostatectomy.  It was clear sailing for me after my surgery until my one year check-up.  PSA had crept up slightly.  Then, about a month later, it had crept a little higher.  A PET scan showed no signs of cancer anywhere.  But, I will have another PSA test in roughly two months and, if it's still trending higher, I will likely be having some radiation.  Mine was a very agressive cancer ... 9 on the Gleason scale if that means anything to you.  A PSA test is what discovered my cancer to begin with.  GET CHECKED!
