All are welcome, but all I did was post it. Much of what she spoke of relates back to my youth when I was influenced in a small town by a goodly number of WWII vets that had also lived through the depression and the Dust Bowl. (Too bad I didn't take ALL of their advice.) I remember being in the blacksmith's shop when my dad had something from a farm implement that needed to be welded. The blacksmith caught me staring at his wooden leg. He stopped what he was doing and sat down with me to explain that he lost it in WWII and that even though he hated fighting, it was something that had to be done. He also said that he never regretted losing the leg. Lots of good men from that time. And now, may God rest their souls as they have all passed on.
