I'm sorry to hear this,Ive been there. It gets better, but it still hurts. Drink that Tequila and have a good cry if thats what you want. Whatever it takes to make you feel better. Only time I ever saw my 6'5" 300lb ex Marine father cry was when he was burying 2 of our GSDs that got out of the yard because my ******* brother didnt latch the gate and they got hit by a school bus together. I was about 10. I'm a big ol boy too and the only time my kids have seen me cry has been when my dad passed away, and 2 years ago when my lil Boston dug under the fence and got into our old neighbors yard and 2 of their pitbulls got him. I cradled him at the vet when he took his last breath. I did what they say not to do too and went straight to a breeder the next day and got a new one. And he has been the biggest azzhole Ive ever had in a dog. But he's mine and I sure do love the little guy. I would be all tore up again if this one was not here any more. I cremated my other one and have his ashes along with a copy of 'The Rainbow Bridge' poem on the mantle with a picture of him beside it. I still cant look at that picture of him without crying a little. Just did that yesterday as a matter of fact. Theyre not dogs to me,theyre family. I'm so sorry for your loss.
