Donna Jackson (Cushing shooting) on A&E tonight

New series on A&E called "Panic 9-1-1." The pilot episode (tonight at 9pm) will feature the Donna Jackson shooting from here in Oklahoma. Lady at home at night and ended up being forced to kill a guy as he busted through her sliding door.

She was on the phone with 911 at the time. . .and listening to the audio (which was made public shortly after the shooting) will scare your socks off.

Hope A&E doesn't screw it up.

I would not be a good 911 dispatcher. She is telling the girl to put down the gun. I would be telling her to get a firm grip on the gun and be ready.

Man this show pisses me off. 911 Operator tells the LADY on the phone to put down her gun so the police don't mistake here for the MAN who broke into her house...SHE IS BARRICADED IN A F*CKING CLOSET AND THE PSYCHO IS STILL IN HER HOUSE. Who trains these idiots?

Then of course she proceeds to be grabbed by the guy while her gun lay on the floor next to her...

Why wouldn't the police say as soon as they enter the residence "Hello? Ma'am are you here?? This is the _______ police department. Please let us know where you are so we can come and get you." To avoid being shot.
