[QUOTE="JesseR, post: 2002278, member: 5258"] Do did anyone watch tuesday nights show? It was a retired Chiropractor who had spent 2Million building a 700 acre compound called "The Alamo" 300 miles west of Houston where he lived. Come interesting items on the show.. Concrete water tanks, cool idea... A hostage raid with off duty Sheriff Deputies having guns (cleared or not) pointed at them... The lesser experienced guy fired his gun inside a blind and gave the other guy temporary deafness... Taught his son on Nation TV how to slaughter a goat... This show is giving a lot of different groups of people a bad name. Most of these people have no experience with the safe handling and operation of guns, they are pushing their kids for the sake of ratings, and from an outside observer they are making less then solid decisions. Although they have a safety team with the production crew, and accidents can happen anywhere, I feel these people are doing more harm then good... I also get a crack out of the final statements by "Practical Prepper" that nothing can happen and all is very unlikely... kinda like a storm could never wipe out power and living on the upper East coast...
