I'll always stop and chat but won't give out cash, which is ALWAYS what these encounters are about. I've had guys start out with "I'm hungry" but turned down my legitimate offer for a meal. We were going to dinner and I was going to let him eat with us and cover it but really he just wanted cash. Well, I don't carry cash so we're always out of luck. But, I'm more than happy to hear their pitch and try to give them some helpful advice.
