[QUOTE="Brandi, post: 2089912, member: 24446"] Sooo...cracked open the mason jars. First off, the apple pie. At 70 proof I expected some burn and, honestly, wasn't expecting it to be very good. I was wrong on both counts. First sniff, no discernible odor of alcohol just a pleasant apple cinnamon smell. First sip, from the jar, was exceptionally smooth with no alcohol burn at all except as it hit my tummy. This stuff is sweet and tastes just like liquid apple pie. I would keep the bottle at room temperature and pour over ice so it melts a bit and dilutes the sweetness as you drink. The strawberry...this stuff is 100 proof so you'd obviously expect some serious heat from the high alcohol percentage but you'd, incredibly enough, be wrong. Yes, there is some burn, just a little more than the apple, but it's easily drank straight without making that face (everyone knows the face). I don't drink often and when I do it's a beer or a margarita so I don't tolerate nor like the taste of alcohol. I could, and did, take a couple big sips of this stuff and was pleasantly surprised how good it was and how smooth. It is dangerous, very dangerous. They both are but the 100 proof strawberry especially. If it were passed among a group of people who didn't know it's strength they would be dropping like flies before you knew it and seriously hurting the next day no doubt. I did not, however, eat any of the strawberries. They look a little unappetizing after sitting in that liquor, probably taste like pure alcohol and no doubt they would knock you on your butt so I'll leave that to the pro's. My overall opinion of both the Apple Pie and Strawberry Midnight Moon is WOW! Far better tasting and far easier drinking than I expected. Exceptionally smooth, very good flavor, I would say "overly" sweet but no doubt that adds to the drinkability. If you don't mind a little sweetness and you're in the mood to get blitzed while dancing around talking like a hillbilly these jars of "legal" shine are your huckleberry.
