Of course its my choice. I'm not arguing that. But with that choice comes either employment or unemployment. I don't need to speak with an MD. My son who's a cardiac care pharmacist has been neck deep with cardiac/covid patients for months now and has been on the front lines working with doctors caring for covid patients. The vaccine does not keep me from getting covid, it lessens the severity of the virus if I happen to get it and it's the same for everyone else that gets the vaccine. I understand a business/company wanting to keep their employees safe and those under their care safe but these vaccines do neither. They only aid the individual if they get the virus. And this is my complaint, getting the vaccine does not protect anyone outside the individual in the company/business. If I'm not protecting anyone outside of me, why am I required to make a choice which encompasses employment/unemployment? We are told to listen to the experts yet some companies do as they damn well please because the law gives them the right even without the backing of the evidence. If the vaccine kept me from getting the virus as well as spreading the virus I could understand a company requiring me to get it. But, as it stands now, this isn't the case.
