Hey guys,

I found this diamond in the rough at Sooner State Pawn - North when I was picking up AK pistol, and I decided that I needed to have it. They had it listed at $250, but I "talked" them down to $200 out the door. It is in really rough shape, and I'm not sure if I want to restore it or leave it how it is. Since I am looking for a shooter and not just a conversation piece, I'll probably restore it.

Based on the serial number, this was made during 1944, so this was made to kill Nazis!

It shoots the 38 S&W cartridge.

Let me know what you think.

It'll be a fun one. Most likely was designed to fire the .38 S&W but with a 200gr bullet. It's known as the 38/200 but it will run the 146gr stuff fine. My brother dlbleak and I have a few guns in .38 S&W but ammo is a bit tricky as is reloading. You can load .358 (.38 spl) bullets but you'll need the .38 S&W brass. It won't be as accurate since the bullets you need are .360 and a bit of an oddball. There's a guy on GB who sells the 200gr bullets from time to time.

These work well in my No2 Enfield: http://westernbullet.com/hg512br170gr.html
170gr, .360" diameter.
