I had 5 MRIs and one CT scan in 2021. 2 lower spine, 1 mid spine, 1 right knee and 1 head (with contrast). The contrast (that was the brain MRI) felt like I had a built-in internal air conditioner when the flow started. Didn't make me feel ill or anything else. I usually need to be sedated because with the back pain and lying on the God-awful hard MRI beds, and the tiny machines, I get really claustrophobic. But, the VA has a new machine. It's bigger and not nearly as confining. No sedation on the last two. It's nice.
