[QUOTE="WhiteyMacD, post: 1867240, member: 7633"] I think it depends on what is funky to you. I know some of the stuff I eat, a lot of people think I'm nuts (depending on how old you are, you might like the same stuff). These are somewhat normal foods to me that some might find weird or funky: Liverwurst, Blood and Tongue, Head Cheese: I really love Ingrids on these. These deli cuts are pretty typical in Deli's up north. Little hard to find down here. My favorite is blood and tongue. It has a smokey flavor that reminds me of smoked Gouda. Bahn Mi: Imagine if Subway originated in Viet Nam. Basically a Vietnamese sammich with heavy french inspiration. Make sure you get it with fois gras, otherwise its just a sub. Bahn Cuon: Basically rice noodle roll (sheet not actual rice grains) filled with pork, mushrooms etc. I love it topped with some fried sweet potato. Must eat with fish sauce and pepper sauce. My favorite place is over by Lang's Bakery. I'll tip my hat to Tokyo. Can't go wrong with any sushi, nigri or sashimi. Most of my other tastes I have to have shipped to me. Quahog and steamer clams, mussels, scallops, blood sausage, haggis, frog legs, gator, rattlesnake, jellied eel, kidney pie... unfortunately, I have yet to find a place in OK that serves any of these.
