Especially when like I said 1911s still do well in competitions in various parts of the world and makers such as Sig and H&K are well known for reliability. I really don't feel that this is a big secret either. [QUOTE="JD8, post: 18178, member: 24"] Ok, it's easy to paint the picture or hint about me being a trouble maker when you don't agree with my view. Once again I'm not here to insult a person nor experiences. I'm here to disucss cliche internet born lore. I cut out quotes to address a point seperately, nothing more or less. As the thread went along more points that were made.... the more I addressed each one seperately. Someone made a very naive statement IMHO, knowing all the facts I would expect it now but at the time I was ignorant. I then asked a rhetorical question and then there were a few jabs about 1911s and it went from there. JP, when it comes to 1911s you have time and again expressed your disbelief in reliability, in which you express a strong bias and that's great. YMMV. Usually it's a comic stab and it's disregarded. I'm not the only one that notices as you say. However, in a thread such as this it seems you have taken this as another opportunity and simply backed up the intitial statements with "we've seen problems at every match" Ok well I need a little more than that. Especially when like I said 1911s still do well in competitions in various parts of the world and makers such as Sig and H&K are well known for reliability. I really don't feel that this is a big secret either. However, if we are all here to pull statements out from the other end and let them be like the rest of the internet......then great...thanks for the clarification. I've owned around 40-50 handguns of various makes , still own around 20 or so and I never had a problem with any of the aforementioned makes. Now maybe I'm extremely lucky by having owned almost every Sig made at one time or another and not having one jam on me except for a P229 police trade-in with worn out springs, or maybe I'm a just walking miracle in the fact that I didn't have a problem with any of the 5 H&Ks I've owned, 3 CZ 75s , or how about my Bulgy Mak to which I can't make jam no matter what kind of crappy russian ammo I am forced to use.
