Federal shot shell primers

I bought a small box of shot shell primers with the number 410 printed on the outside. Are these only good for 410 bore guns?

Those old Fed 410's were NOT a hot primer, but like all specific 410 primers, were actually a bit milder than their standard primer. Doesn't make any sense, but that's what they were.

They can be used in standard shotgun loads. 12ga, 20 ga, or whatever your loading.

Load up a few, test, and make sure your load works in your shotgun. Should be fine.
