very large... just to get legal, and get a legit business costs around 3-4 g's Thats just the paper work, permits, liceneses, LLC, recipt books, accounting books, supplies, biz cards. Try to get a distributor, or a manufacturer to sell to you guns w/o you having a sales tax permit... nope That dosent count inventory, storefront, overhead, etc. Then you have to pay OK sales tax every month, Fed tax is very high at the end of the year. Then you have ATF audits... You also put yourself at a higher risk for robbery, better stay strapped 24/7 Ya best sleep with your pistol. Home owners insurance wont cover your inventory, that insurance is different. Then you have liability insurance, runs about 1000 per year. I know im missing alot here, but i still love it!!! If you are doing it at home, there is not much overhead, but you have to advertise, beat the street etc. And you cant meet ppl anywhere to sell guns except for the premisis in which your license is for. But you can do gun shows. Plus the phone rings off the hook at all hours, you cant lock up your store and go home, your home IS your store. Ive been doing it for about 3 months now, as a hobby, not making any major money, but its lots of fun!!
