I carry a 3" officers model every day and there is a big difference in carrying a 3" and 4" mainly due to the smaller grip on the 3" models more so than the shorter barrel. 5" government models are great for the range so imo theres not really a one size fits all when it comes to 1911's.</p></blockquote><p></p>
