I bought an old worn out Leatherman multi tool off of eBay for $9.00, sent it to Leatherman telling them that if it wasn’t covered under warranty to toss it in the trash. Today I received an email telling me they are sending me a replacement. This is the old one, the blades have been ground or filed, the numbers inside the knife indicat that it is far older than 2( years old which makes it ineligible for warranty replacement but they are replacing it regardless. I’ll post a photo of the replacement when it arrives. I sent the knife to them on the 8th of Aug and it is now the 15th and the replacement is in the mail so that’s a pretty quick turnaround-to answer s question posed earlier by a member.
