I am not supposed to be outside of it is below 45 degrees so not looking forward to be a shut in.

Of course not supposed to be outside if above 85 either and I do not listen to that either. I told the docs this is Oklahoma. We have maybe 30 days a year that the weather does not do one or the other.

When the docs start telling me stuff like that I usually get up and leave.

I tend to make jokes and laugh at them. Docs at OU hospital could not understand why I flat out refused some of the meds they wanted me to take, but after one caused a panic attack and they saw the destruction that caused, they agreed I might know what my body was telling me.

I'm not the oldest guy here, but it's been my experience the last 69 years, it gets cold this time of year. Some years more than others and some years not that hard. As far as bugs getting thinned out by the cold, I don't think so. I've been fishing in Minnesota, and they got the worse tic problem I ever got into. I lived in Kansas City area for about 4 years and there was more winter than I had ever experienced. Had to cover Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. I got to tell you that country ain't fit for S in the winter. Went pheasant/quail hunting one morning and the high for the day was going to be 16- I was putting drinks in an ice chest and my buddy says, why are you doing that- won't that stuff stay cold- I said, I am putting them in the ice chest hoping they won't freeze. I had a meeting in Des Moines one time, and it got down to 23 below. The sensors in my car messed up and it took Food several tries to get everything replaced so it would run right. I lived in South Texas where there wasn't much winter, so when it got cold, nobody could stand it, and in converse to that- spent many a Thanksgiving in shorts. Here is the bottom line, like my 32-year Army Dad use to say- take it the way it comes, and you will be a whole lot less disappointed- winter- food- or whatever BS that comes down the line. I got to tell you though, I learned the hard way, just staying in the house is a pretty good way to go. I've spent more money fixing crap just because I had to get in it.
