Save yourself a LOT of frustration, stick with real black powder and avoid ALL OF THE SUBS!!!!
I shoot 3 rocklocks, a .36, a .45 and a .50, all I use is 3F Goex or Swiss black powder both main charge and priming powder. A quality flint in a good lock w/ hardened frizzen will be quite fast and reliable.

4F Goex BP for flash powder, Pyrodex P(3F equivalent) for the main charge. Used that in several flintlocks over the last 35y with zero no-fires. As long as my 4F charge is right, there's really not even a delay.

Make sure your flint is in good order and you will get surefire ignition every time as long as you're using good quality powder . I have great luck with Swiss in my 45. A well tuned lock will even allow you to prime with 3F and get reliable ignition.
