Found an interesting video that might just give you a little insight to what they look like and how things are setup. Looks like a lot of what these guys setup is colocation, basically where they own the building and provide power, cooling, and data then the customer provides the switch and servers. This is actually what most server farms are like and only a few big players actually own their own farms and servers. On this one they are wearing lapel microphones but you can still hear the whir of the fans and they do wear ear plugs because it is honestly very loud in those rooms. They have some other video's as well that are interesting to watch where they show some of the power systems in place and the cooling systems and such as well as the different roles they have for people who work there. If you are interested in computers and such I would suggest watching a few of them.
