Can someone help me ID this Ford pickup bed? My best guess is a 50s or early 60s Styleside.
Also what value would you place on it?

That tailgate script started 1953.
The extra external rib on the side of the bed above the fender was about 1958 when you began seeing those.
Not all of the beds got it.
Looks like you are missing the front external rib on the side.
I think the longer beds got the center rib then later on into the mid to later 60's some shorter beds were seen with it.
Value is only what it is worth to someone that needs it.
I have a bunch of original Buick carter AFB carbs what are they worth?
Scrap iron price on many.. a good one won't bring squat. Zero bids.
So I stuck them on 360 dodge trucks and 240z cars and the like.
Used one on a 4 barrel conversion on the FI cross ram GM fail.

4 years ago i gave 1500 for a complete 57 chevy 4 door 210.
Original everything 283 with powerglide that still worked 71,000 miles on the odometer. No one ever even pulled the valve covers off of it.

I got spare fenders and deck lid with it and can't sell those for squat.
Could not get any bites on the original 283 or glide or rearend either.
People do not want that old beat up stuff...UNLESS you find the guy that does.

Behind the intake manifold on old fords on the firewall there was a paint mark. Had one on an old ford truck from say 1974.
Mine was a green paint mark.
That color signified what color the truck was to be painted.
Green did not mean green truck it may have meant white with brown lower half.

Little codes. My uncle worked on the ford assembly line and at GM for a time.
Neat tid bits of information you never hear about.

Next time you have a Chevy block handy flip it over and notice the numbers stamped on the area where the oil pan gasket goes.
There will be a number next to each cylinder hole.
I know what those are. Trivia from my uncle.
Old suckers.

I'm with Swampratt Mid-fifties F100 stuff there 1953 to 1956. The one fender with the dimple in it is for a spare tire and was an option not found on every truck. Personally I think the truck looks better without They are in fair condition. new repros are fairly cheap. Value is not that high What do you want for the tailgate?

That’s cool. I like the beat up one I already have but wouldn’t mind having another to use as a wall hanger in the garage.
