Thank, folks. This isn't the first time, and probably won't be the last. Still have 6 cats on the household. But I'm closing on 70, and don't want to leave another pet wondering where I went, when it's my time to go. I tell them I love them, and I'll see them at the Rainbow Bridge when I get there. And if they're not there, I won't be either. It won't be Heaven without them. My former church teaches that animals have souls. My own experience teaches that they have personalities and likes and dislikes of their own. Offered Orca the last collagen chew in the bag this morning. He LOVES those things, but he saw and I told him it was the last one in the bag. And he refused it. I told him it was OK, I had another bag, and then he was willing to take it. He can have as many treats as he wants. Today and tomorrow, until his appointment. Then I'll get on with the rest of my life. Dad made it to 77. I can reasonably expect to do as well. Didn't expect to get to 30. I can do most of 8 years standing on my head if I have to. Longer if I need to. I'll just have to befriend all of the cats.
