This is actually,,,
Quite heartwarming.

Aarond

P.S. Back in 2008 I took in a 5-year old Maine Coon,,,
His owner graduated university and took a job where she couldn't have a pet.

It's the cat in my Avatar,,,
For the next eleven years Bart (Bartacus) was the best lap jockey/ house companion this old man could have wanted.

Great to hear of a happy ending! I too accepted a 1-yr old dog, but this one a largish black lab mix, from a fellow forum member because the dog was too rambunctious around his two special needs kids.

That dog turned out to be the best one I ever had. Loud and obnoxious, sure, but very intelligent, perceptive, and loyal. Great on a leash too, and loved to go into Lowe’s and to the flea markets with me. I had him for nine years before cancer claimed him a few months ago.
