[QUOTE="beardking, post: 4317570, member: 31421"] I have this old gun. Well, actually my wife's brother in law has this old gun. 😁 It's an 1893 (I think) Lebel 8mm. He's trying to remove the bolt from the receiver, but the locking lug will only turn about a quarter turn, whereas it needs to turn about half a turn. He's lined the living daylights out of it and we allotted heat to break up any old dried up grease and then whacked it multiple times with a brass hammer and it just plain refuses to turn any further. I'm not well versed on these old guns, so I'm stumped as to what he might need to do. So, I thought I'd post a short, probably mostly useless video, showing the amount of turning we have been able to get and see if anyone has any suggestions. If no suggestions in what to actually do to fix the problem, maybe suggestions for a gunsmith that might be able to help him get the bolt out. Thanks in advance.
