Only broke the soil down both sides once this year. Past years if I keep the soil broke weekly and fertilize often they get way bigger than 13".  Onions do well in my soil and are super sweet. After reading about the Alisa Craig I may try a small batch next year just to see how big one will get in my soil.</p></blockquote><p></p>
