I think there are newer designs out there that are supposed to be more quiet, but I just didn't want to pay twice the price for a little bit quieter. Honestly, I have suppressors for the novelty and for the ability to shoot without hearing protection. So as long as it's quiet enough to be heading safe, I'm good. I'm also wondering if it has anything to do with the pistol I have it on.
