When an office is micromanaged to death and literally every minute counts, the incentive is no longer there. If you show up and clock in 3 minutes early, you will get an email the next day telling you to leave 3 minutes early. Now, I'm 3 minutes early, run into my lunchtime 15 minutes and stay after my scheduled time for another 10 minutes. Now I have to leave half an hour early the next day, or come in half an hour late to crush that time. I find it's better to just work "almost 40ish" every week.</p></blockquote><p></p>
