I use an accessory riser block, like 25 bucks for one, puts the TRS-25 in perfect alignment for cowitness with the magpul mbus sites. Have to use one on the PFI as well. http://www.outdoorgearbarn.com/p-21430-promag-ar15-flattop-picatinny-rail-aluminum-scope-riser-black.aspx#.UQK77h1kx8E Yes I would like an optic I don't have to turn on, I would love an aimpoint that I can just leave on and change the battery in it once a year. Bang for buck that TRS-25 has been fantastic. I don't have cases for any of my rifles when we go to the range I just toss them in the backseat of the truck or throw them in the toolbox, shot several rifle tactical rifle matches with it and did TDSA's rifle 1 course with it. It's been out in the field in freezing weather deer hunting it's been rained and snowed on. I'd probably cringe at the thought of dinging up a more expensive optic, and I'm going to use it for TDSA's rifle 2 course, I'm that confident in it.
