Last weekend I went camping with some friends at a family friend's property on the White River. It's VERY rural, but there's a house upstream across the river. Around 10 in the morning, we got up and shot .22s in to a dirt pile we built. We were shooting parallel to the river, and downstream from the house. After a few minutes, we hear the guy yelling that he's gonna call the sheriff if we don't quit shooting at his house. I don't know if he missed a high school physics lesson, but I've never seen a .22 do a complete 180 after striking a dirt berm. And even if it did (of course it wouldn't) would it carry enough energy to even be noticed 200 yards in the opposite direction? My last question... Why is it that ignorant people always threaten to call the sheriff?
