Not to sound arrogant but I'm finally at a point in my life that I can afford what I want and I had always dreamed about owning land. My wife sent me to Mike Seeklander's 5 day course last April for our 31st anniversary because I probably only shoot 2-3 times a year. I came back enthused and had that berm built with the intent to shoot more often. Life and work (I'm kind of a workaholic) interfered and also the thought of my neighbors hearing me crank off 100 rounds wasn't appealing. That was the reason I replied...to make you think of what someone else "possibly" could be concerned about. Rather than spread dandelions all over somebodies yard I would recommend talking to your neighbors and letting them know your backstop, lateral limits and other safety conditions. You have no obligation to do so but at least you will have tried to make the situation better. Who knows it might be a win for you. I was taught growing up that fences make good neighbors. Now I believe communication is just as good as a fence. Granted it might be a waste of your time but gun owners are already made out to be arseholes no sense fueling the fire. Thanks for letting me ramble.
