This has been a really fun election cycle, it's been incredibly enjoyable to listen to all the hypocrisy as we learn how freedom and liberty is very far from the agenda of many of our "freedom and liberty" right wing voters.

I must have missed the amendment that says we have a right to smoke dope.

Are we OK with alcohol, just not MJ? I like consistency in logic, and this one is difficult for me to understand. I'm pretty sure alcohol kills more people annually than MJ. Is that because alcohol is legal now? If so, maybe we should do an experiment and prohibit alcohol. I guess no one's thought of that before. See if that works out, then we'd have our answer on the MJ question. Easy peazy.

I think it’s morally wrong. I realize that it’s uncommon in todays world for people to have morals and integrity but I try.

I don’t believe I would want to live under that rule of law.

I think a general decline in morality, weak parentlng, and lack of self discipline among many people is the cause. It’s much easier to live a life of indulgence and there is little to no consequence for it.

I wouldnt disagree that it certainly looks that way, I just disagree with relying on the government to be our parental figure. I firmly believe in giving people enough rope to hang themselves and only intervening once it pours over onto someone else. I know the common rebuttal to this approach is abuse of the social assistance programs, but those systems are due for an overhaul as well.

It is a very steep uphill climb to convince me that I should have my freedom's restricted because someone else was never taught how to adult properly. I would come closer to agreeing to it being settled in a coliseum with tigers and bears than ever agreeing to give the government that kind of authority.

I know some old broke down and beat up folks my age & older that never smoked as much as a cigarette, and they are using the edibles for medicinal purposes as the law intended.

The couple three I know swear it has changed their lives as far as pain and sleep and overall well being. One of these is a gun owner and he’s skirting the law by not having a card, and he’s having a young relative purchase it for him. That’s a shame. I wish the feds would act and correct the law as it pertains to firearms.

As before, I can’t believe the handful of prescription and OTC pills I take every morning & night for the plates, screws and bent and broken parts of my body are any better for me than a THC gummy would be. As it stands, I can’t even try one without breaking the law. I wish that would change.

I'm quite fortunate that I don't have to take meds on a regular basis. (only for allergies, or some calamity I've stepped into)

The medical MJ does pique my interest for one main reason. When my son was trying to get off opioids and control his anxiety/depression, smoking weed helped. Unfortunately, he was required to drug test fairly often, so MJ was a big no.

I'll always wonder if it had been legal in 2017 if it would have helped. He's beyond that now, but maybe it could help someone else that has bigger problems than smoking some weed.
