[QUOTE="sh00ter, post: 4386767, member: 24531"] ol' jethro...also claims to be "pro-family", yet making someone I'm close with (and thousands like them) go back to an office after 10yrs of remote working (program existed pre-covid) with no productivity issues, so he can reap the gas tax benefits of their 1hr hellish commute and make them cancel their after work Bible study and family values of being present when the kid arrives home from school and making sure no shenanigans can go on before a nice, traditional family dinner time. Now it will be 7pm arrival home and a hungry kid. According to her, the in-office lunches and commute gas money will cancel out the small promotion money that she recently achieved. A good leader would review all the data before a decision that affects so many folks. Apparently he was so out of touch with his 30k employees that he had no idea that remote work had been used pre-covid by some state agencies as a perk/recruitment tool to compete with the private sector since the state workers don't get many raises. She said some of the good (and conservatives) she works with are gonna retire or leave...so some no-nothing gen-z can come serve in their place...top notch and family-oriented conservative leadership at its finest boyz. Deploy anti-family policies "just because" instead of having any real data to support it. The feds (and Musk) are dealing with millions of people in their work force and a lot more grifters and waste...in OK, there wasn't an issue with WFH programs (for jobs that are compatible), that go back for more than a decade. Sry for hijack rant but this person was just telling me all this was her Christmas present from the corporatist Grinch. I've politically defended the guy in the past quite a bit, but this thread was just more evidence of his non-working class, out-of-touch way of thinking (and remember he didn't even endorse MAGA in '24).
