I've noticed green steel enclosures near utility poles, maybe 4Wx6Dx4H, with a natgas feed. There is no discernible exhaust pipe and no meter on the natgas. They appear to be fed electric from the utility pole they're near. I've only noticed them near neighborhoods and light commercial space. Any idea what they are? My current theory is that they somehow cut electricity to a neighborhood in the event of a gas pressure drop.
