Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said Saturday he is working as "swiftly" as the law allows to secure a pardon for Sgt. Daniel Perry after he was convicted of murder.

I remember when this happened. I assumed based on the evidence that the soldier was not being charged as it was CLEARLY self defense. I hope the pardon is swift.
