Folks sadly Trump showed them the way. Biden is expendable once sworn in so they will have him use EO to things like an assault weapons / high capacity mag ban. Once he does they declare him mentally unfit but claim they can not "undo his EO"
If the democrats knew anything at all about the gun world (or had a brain between them), they would never utter the words “gun control” ever again. All they would do is attack ammo and component manufacturers, and if they could stop the flow of ammo, they will have control of many/most of the guns. No or extremely limited ammo=Useless guns.

I don't know what they will do, but they willingly released the forces of chaos in ANTIFA and BLM this summer and if they don't try to go full socialist they will face the wrath of their own beast.
With that and all the other things going on I don't think our country has been this close to the edge since the 1860s. I have no doubt they will make an attempt at arms.
What needs to happen is for the States to say no like they have done with pot. Doesn't matter what the laws the feds pass if the local authorities won't help or will actually hinder their efforts at enforcement there is very little the Feds can actually do. If you doubt that look at how close we are to actually full legalization of marijuana not because the feds want it, but because they don't have a choice.
It would be easier for states to resist federal gun laws because they have been legal for 244 years and there are already hundreds of millions of them in the wild. If they have state support they will have a very very hard time putting the Genie back in the bottle and without local support it will be impossible.

If they wanna ban guns, they could start giving away boats. I know many of us have had the dreaded sinking feeling when we were paddling a circle clinging to a floatation device. Not all gun loving Americans have or had the luxury of owning a boat to sink their guns in. More boats in gun owners hands means more guns on the bottom of the lake. Holee chit! That’s why water levels are rising! Too many guns displacing water! See!? Guns are even to blame for climate change!
