I may have mentioned it here once or twice years ago, but I was fortunate enough to inherit a rather substantial gun collection from my grandfather years ago. He was a big Colt nut, but had some other non-Colts as well. When I took possession of them, I became more intrigued and began adding to it a little at a time when the funds would allow. Well, that only lasted so long, with mortgages, more and more bills, medical costs, etc. I sold some of my Colts off, but have kept the entire inherited collection together. Although technically they are mine, they are family heirlooms and belong to the family. I am just their custodian and cannot/would not sell any of them. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be bringing all of them out to inspect, possibly clean, and catalog for insurance purposes. I wasn't smart enough to do it years ago when I got them, but it's high time I get it done now. I'm also going to be going through my own personal collection of small & weird guns that I've pieced together over the years. I thought it'd be fun to share some photos with you all. I found an old directory on my backup computer that contained photos I'd taken years ago of some of the guns in the collection. Enjoy! Colt Detective Special - 1967 Colt Diamondback and Nickel Detective Special with carved wooden grips:
