Hello Gun Owners!

First of all, I want to thank you all for your willingness to help GOA in the fight to preserve the Second Amendment. We have a lot of work to do and are honored to have you stand beside us in the fight.

I am writing to let you all know that we are scheduling a dinner for Friday, March 18, 2011. I hope this is a date you can mark on your calendars, as we hope to make this a great event that will raise a lot of money for Gun Owners of America. A good friend to GOA, Sue Dulaney, has offered to help find a location and a caterer and has already been working hard to help us begin the planning process.

Along with Sue’s help, we would like to organize a dinner committee of volunteers in order to spread the work around, so as to not over extend any one or two people. Since the dinner is only 2 1/2 months after Christmas, it would be good to have a meeting before the holidays, in order to brainstorm ideas for donors and sponsors, etc. If you are still able and willing to donate your time to helping us plan this dinner, GOA will be much appreciative. I have attached a booklet of guidelines and suggestions, that details how we have planned successful dinners in the past. By following the suggestions and with enough people to lend a hand, I believe we will be able to plan an event that will bring in a lot of revenue to help GOA fight in D.C.

If someone has a suggestion for a date, time, and location for a committee meeting, please feel free to “reply all” with your suggestion. I know Sue had a few ideas for the group, for which we are very thankful.

Regardless of the amount of help you are able to provide, we are very grateful. Since I am located in California, we need people who are passionate about their rights and who are willing to help us on location. I do not want to solely overwhelm you with the responsibilities of planning a dinner, but I hope to get enough volunteers to organize this event and make it the best it can be!
