I blame articles like this and the ideas they stem from, on political correctness. It isn't politically correct to tell someone that they are wrong, that they should do something better, or that they are bad at something. Our society says that anything is ok, nothing is wrong, no one should be accountable for their own actions. That's why we have abortion (so people can have sex and not be burdened with the responsibility of child), why people hate the church (how dare they say something is immoral), and why people blame guns and video games for shooting (we cant tell parents that they raised their children wrong and we can't say that kids are evil). We shift the blame to inanimate objects and ideas. Instead of blaming the people who kill they want to blame the gun used to kill. It is backwards logic but it fits with what government and society has been doing in the past several decades. If the media and government blamed the parents and children they would have to admit that they have been wrong for the last 30 yeas. That it is okay to spank your kids and that the morals taught by religion shouldn't have been taken out of our schools. The moral and familial foundations have been torn out from under America and we are balanced on top of lies that point fingers at everything except the people who are actually responsible. I would never want to live anywhere but the USA, but if we are going to fix this nation we have to go back to the values this country was founded upon. We need to fix our families, fix our school and teach morals and personal responsibility.
