Message: <blockquote data-quote="sherrick13" data-source="post: 4180726" data-attributes="member: 9406">They have statewide jurisdiction, yes.  Some jurisdictions don't want them writing tickets on main street of their town that is not a state maintained road.  Nor does the OHP management.   They are paid to patrol state roads and highway, not double up on city jurisdictions.  Many County Sherriff's departments have the same issues.   For example, Norman has a large dislike for Cleveland County doing traffic work inside the Norman City Limits.  (or at least they did, my info is from several years ago)</blockquote>
