Don't do it, and you can't use it again. My dad was a not so serious fisherman but I was ate up with it. Many evenings of him rowing me around lake Ponca while I cast for bass is a great memory. Trolling motors were just starting back then and we didn't have one. Guess what? I still have that boat and trailer! (along with another) The wood was getting in disrepair and one day decided to rebuild it with all new wood and even used some of the artificial wood to put it back into somewhat new condition along with a barely used 20 hp Merc.
