Ever since I was a teenager I've had issues with crowds, so I'm not a big mall person. But I do remember Crossroads used to be THE hangout for my peers. When I moved back to OK in 04 I was surprised to see it had gone downhill and was set to close. Crossroads and Sooner Fashion were the only two malls I went to, all the others were just too far away. Here in Tulsa I've seen the same thing happen. I moved here at the tail end of Eastland Mall's existence as a mall. Now Promenade Mall is starting to go the same route though its putting up more of a fight. I think SPD hit the nail on the head. Amazon and other online retailers are killing the old school B&M stores. In the past 10 years I've seen store chains that I thought would never die go the way of the dodo. But, just like in the animal world, the retail world's environment is changing, some breeds will thrive, others will die off. Tis the nature of...well..nature.
