5 years ago I received an All Power 7500 watt generator as a gift. I've been fairly impressed with it. Didn't know what to expect from an off brand. I got it out a couple days ago, replaced the battery and whammo, started right away. Ran it for a few hours, then ran the house off of it for an hour. We use natural gas for heat, water, and cooking, so I think we could be a-ok with most short term disasters. Most generator use in my area, and probably most of Oklahoma, is from winter ice storm :freezing: power outages, so I just stock up on several 5 gal cans full of gas before winter starts, then use what's left in my lawn mower throughout the next summer. Very larger area to mow, so it definetely gets used. Have you tested your generators for winter yet?
