Many of us coach and have other responsibilities such as family and taking classes towards a masters degree. The state trusts me to carry a pistol with 8 hours of training.  I don't see how 40-80 hours of training with twice yearly 6-8 hour qualifiers and refreshers would not be adequate.  Teachers do not need all the training of a reserve officer, as we will not be making arrests, writing reports, handcuffing, etc...  We simply need firearm specific training.</p></blockquote><p></p>
