Low carb, no processed foods(if it comes in a box for convenience), no processed sugars, no fast food(we still eat out, just skip do so at sit down restaurants and order low carb items) and I can guarantee you'll feel better and you'll lose weight. I was a amazed at how much less joint pain I had even, let alone the weight loss. I'll always be Type 1 Diabetic as I produce zero insulin, but since I did all those things listed above it's made a world of difference. Eating small several times a day rather than 2 or 3 times large will make a difference too. Organic vs non-organic...zero difference in health benefits. Same with GMO vs non GMO. Nitrates...moderation. Eating bacon and sausage is healthier than processed hotdogs and hamburger patties though. Nitrates are low on my concern list. Stay away from all pasta period. Cook a prepare a spaghetti squash instead. If you live in California everything will give you cancer, they have labels on everything to tell you that. I've eaten non-organic my whole life, I eat GMO plant based products, I spray and have sprayed Roundup by the tens of thousands of gallons per year for the last 14 years(as well as other ag chemicals buy not Paraquat). As of yet, the only cancer I've gotten was caused by the sun, right on the tip of my nose lol.
